Get operating system images and packages

Click on the “Get operating system images and packages” button to retrieve a list of Operating system images and packages that have been added to the Task Sequence selected in the previous control.

Note : This control cannot be invoked without selecting a Task Sequence using the previous control.

Clicking on the “Get operating system images and packages” button will open the below panel.

This process will set the following task sequence variables:

  1. SCCMTSPSISELECTEDOPERATINGSYSTEMNAME : Name of the operating system package or image.
  2. SCCMTSPSISELECTEDOPERATINGSYSTEMPACKAGEID : PackageID of the operating system package or image.

DCOM hardening issue.

This application fails to authenticate with WMI on the SCCM server because Microsoft has not yet hardened DCOM on their Windows Preinstallation Environment. We are working on a different approach, but it will only be released during the first quarter of 2024. But until that time, the only workaround will be to uninstall the update corresponding to KB5004442.
