A Domain license for SCCM Task Sequence deployment Orchestrator allows all users within the licensed Active Directory domain to use the orchestrator for 365 days from the date of issue without having to download a free license regularly.

Please note that the SCCM Task Sequence deployment Orchestrator license tokens are digitally encrypted using encryption standards similar to those used by the U.S. government to protect classified information. Due to this reason, we will not be able to regenerate a replacement for a lost license. Please backup and protect your license token after you receive it.

DCOM hardening issue.

This application fails to authenticate with WMI on the SCCM server because Microsoft has not yet hardened DCOM on their Windows Preinstallation Environment. We are working on a different approach, but it will only be released during the first quarter of 2024. But until that time, the only workaround will be to uninstall the update corresponding to KB5004442.
